The Fort Wayne Seventh-day Adventist Church is part of a world-wide Christian denomination that seeks to obey all of God's Commandments and lives out its faith in the promise of His soon return. Our desire to obey all of God's Law leads us to observe, along with the other nine, the seventh day Sabbath as God commands in the Fourth Commandment. Our faith in His promised return inspires our journeys here on earth. Thus, the name "Seventh-day Adventist" refers to the two pillars of faith upon which this church began, the "Seventh-day" Sabbath and the Second "Advent" or Coming of Jesus Christ.

Basic Beliefs

As Protestant Christians, we firmly believe in salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone and boldly proclaim the centrality of our life in Him. We believe in the progressive revelation of Truth as we grow in our understanding of God's Word and thus hold to no creed except the Bible itself. Following the example of Jesus, we baptize believers by immersion and practice "open" Communion, welcoming all believing Christians into our commemoration of the Lord's Supper in recognition of the larger Body of Christ to which we belong. This perspective of the Body of Christ inspires us to grow as an international community of faith representing the diversity of God's children throughout the world.

Outreach Ministries

As part of our local community, our church strives to positively influence Fort Wayne through various ministries such as our Community Ministry which provides food and clothing assistance to those in need. Our Health Ministry hosts seminars like the Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) to help people live healthier lives. The Life Center, our Bible correspondence school, provides Bible study guides by mail. The Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) offers spiritual insight and encouragement over the air and on cable networks. And our church school, Aboite Christian School, provides Christian education for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
